Luc Polverelli began their career in 2012 as an Engineer Assistant at Medtronic. In 2015, they joined CorWave as a R&D Engineer (intern) where they performed the proof of concept of the CorWave tubular pump project, characterized the hydraulic performance of the studied pump, optimized the hydraulic performance towards values close to the one provided by a genuine heart, designed parts to improve the fatigue resistance of the prototype, and was involved in the blood tests and training of new interns. Luc then took on the roles of R&D Project Manager, Team Leader, and Product Development Engineering Manager at CorWave.

Luc Polverelli's education history includes a French Baccalauréat in Science, mention B from Lycée Vaugelas, obtained in 2006-2009. Luc then attended Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC) from 2009-2015, earning an Engineer diploma in Biomechanics and Biomaterials. In 2011, they completed an Erasmus semester at Universidad de Granada in Spain, studying Faculty of Science. Luc also completed an Exchange semester at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden, Gothenburg, in 2013, studying Biomedical Engineering. Additionally, Luc obtained a Project Management Professionnal (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in December 2018.
