Gordon has held roles such as Chief Engineer, Superintendent, Project Manager, and Chief Engineer on new build projects. Gordon's career has taken him through companies like COSL Drilling Europe AS, Northern Marine Management Limited, and Maersk Group, where Gordon rose from Engineer Cadet to Chief Engineer. Gordon holds a HND in Marine/Mechanical Engineering and has received certifications from the MCA.
