Sofía Perea has held various roles in the medical field since 2016. Sofía began their career as a Medical Assistant at Hospital Español, then moved on to an Apprenticeship at the same hospital. In 2017, they became a Student Fellow at the American College of Surgeons. In 2019, they were a Medical Assistant at Dr. Diego Cariño Cartagena. In 2020, they held both the position of Medical Intern and Chief of Medical Interns at HOSPITAL GENERAL DE MEXICO. In 2022, they were a Clinical Research Associate at Instituto Nacional de Perinatología (INPer), a Clinical Site Research Lead at Cosm Medical, and a Brand Ambassador at Amplifica Capital. In 2020, they obtained a Specialization in Alternative and Complementary Medicine and Medical Systems from University of Colorado Boulder, a Certification in Global Health from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, and a Certificate in Health Services Administration from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. Additionally, Sofía Perea has obtained certifications in Medical Cannabis: The Health Effects of THC and CBD Specialization from Coursera, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) from National Health Care Provider Solutions, and COVID-19: What You Need to Know (CME Eligible) from Coursera.
