Alfonso Castro Echeverría (Ph.D.) has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Alfonso started their career in 1992 as the Director of IT at Univendor, where they were responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, and infrastructure development. Alfonso then moved on to InterSystems in 1996, serving as the Director of Business Development for Mexico. In this role, they designed penetration strategies, established distribution plans, coordinated marketing and sales efforts, and managed implementation projects.

In 1997, Castro Echeverría became the Director of Strategic IT Planning at Miditel, where they played a key role in the startup phase of the company. Alfonso developed strategies for billing, administration, and automation of offices, among others.

After two years at Miditel, they joined IT Convergence as an ITC Manager in 1999. In this position, they oversaw IT operations and management.

In 2000, Castro Echeverría began their tenure at Cosmocolor S.A. de C.V. as the Director General of ATMs and Payment Services. Alfonso was responsible for defining product and service strategies, establishing international alliances, and facilitating the development, acquisition, and integration of various components. Additionally, they implemented strategic systems for infrastructure management and monitoring.

From 2003 to 2005, Castro Echeverría worked as an Advisor to the Innovation and Technological Development Directorate at IMSS. Alfonso played a significant role in defining national identification standards, setting up national enrollment centers, and determining image capture and biometric technologies.

In 2012, they took on teaching roles at Escuela Bancaria y Comercial (EBC) and Universidad del Valle de México, where they shared their expertise in finance, information technology, and communications at the master's level.

Lastly, in 2012, Castro Echeverría served as an Advisor to State and Municipal Governments.

Following their early education, Alfonso pursued further academic achievements. In 2005, they obtained a specialization in Government Purchases from Instituto Nacional de Administración Pública. In 2013, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance from Universidad Europea de Madrid. Simultaneously, they acquired a Master's degree in Business Management from Universidad del Valle de México.

In 2016, Alfonso earned a Master's degree in Software Engineering and Development from the Centro de Posgrados en Desarrollo de Software. Additionally, they obtained the ITIL Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in April 2015.

Continuing their pursuit of higher education, Alfonso enrolled in UTEL Universidad, where they completed a degree in Public Accounting in 2019. Currently, they are in the process of completing their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Strategic Business Administration, specializing in Strategic Management, at UTEL Universidad, with an expected graduation year of 2022.
