Michelle Opela

Michelle Opela is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and marine sciences. Currently serving as Senior IPM Manager at Costa Farms since June 2014, Michelle has held various roles including IPM Manager, Technical Support Manager, and Trial Garden Manager. Prior work experience includes a role as Research Assistant for the Shark Bay Ecosystem Research Project, where data was collected on sharks and sea turtles, and as a North Pacific Groundfish Observer at Saltwater Inc., facilitating communication between fishing vessels and NOAA Fisheries. Michelle's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Marine Sciences from Cornell University, with additional study at institutions such as Sea Education Association and Shoals Marine Laboratory.
