Since the late 90’s Jim has worked and trained with numerous emergency service organizations on the east coast. He was appointed to the Virginia Emergency Response Team, a team created to respond to terrorist and natural disasters in Virginia, North Carolina, and the District of Columbia. In 2006, Jim was a recipient of a heroism citation for his actions during a water rescue in Montgomery County, PA.
While serving the community in Emergency Response, Jim has used his experience and talents in the corporate world as well. With a decade of operational and client experience in residential and commercial operations of large scale developments; Jim has served as Director of Development for the redevelopment of the Asbury Park boardwalk, Director of Operations for the Piazza at Schmidt’s in Philadelphia and Project Director of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for their master facilities redevelopment plan.
Jim has cultivated and executed events ranging from 100 to 100,000 attendees, managed properties with 1,000+ residential units, and directed Pediatric Operating floors from conception to first patient. Educated at Lynchburg College and University of Maryland Baltimore County, Jim provides a diverse background of development, facilities management, project management, entertainment, and emergency services to OPS Security Group. The combination of community response, security planning, knowledge in commercial development, facility operations, large scale event assessment and planning brings insight, experience and listening skills valued by all of our clients.
