Orlando Fuentes is a longtime resident of the Laguna Creek area of Elk Grove. Orlando served 26 years in state government in various Health and Human Services programs, from serving as a child abuse prevention expert, to public health consultant, and mental health specialist. He also served in the Attorney General’s Office of Crime Prevention, working with law enforcement to create drug-free zones around schools, churches, and parks statewide. Throughout his career he has been directly involved in policy development, as well as program planning, development, and implementation. Since his retirement from state government, Orlando has been an active volunteer in the Elk Grove community, serving as a lead organizer of Elk Grove’s annual Multicultural Festival.
