Vincent Knop is a highly experienced engineer specializing in piston engine development, combustion system design, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Currently serving as a Senior Development Engineer at Cosworth since June 2015, Vincent focuses on optimizing combustion systems, including air path analysis, fuel properties, and engine lubrication circuits for both 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines. Additionally, Vincent lectures on spark-ignition engines at IFP School, imparting knowledge on combustion design and test bed analysis. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Engineer at IFP Energies nouvelles, where Vincent developed combustion and pollutant models, and earlier positions at Imagine SA and Institut Français du Pétrole, where Vincent optimized engine performance using CFD tools. Vincent holds a Master of Engineering in Internal Combustion Engines and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
