Jennifer Newman Sharpe

Jennifer Newman Sharpe is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as General Counsel and Head of Legal and Business Affairs at Exceleration Music since August 2022. In addition, Jennifer holds advisory board positions at Merlin and A2IM, and has been a Co-Founder and Legal Advisor for Cosynd, Inc. since February 2016. Previous roles include General Counsel and Head of Business Affairs at ONErpm, as well as serving as an Adjunct Professor at New York University's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. Jennifer co-founded Sparkplug, the first online marketplace for musical instrument rentals, which was acquired by Fretish in 2020. Jennifer has also practiced law as Principal Attorney at The Law Offices of Jennifer Newman Sharpe, PLLC, and held positions at Ritholz Levy Sanders Chidekel & Fields LLP as Of Counsel Attorney and Law Clerk. Jennifer holds a J.D. from Cardozo School of Law and a BFA in Recorded Music and French from New York University.
