Erin Rutzler

Erin Rutzler has a wide range of experience in the healthcare industry, primarily focusing on fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) prevention and investigations. Erin most recently served as Vice President at Cotiviti, where they were responsible for overseeing and providing strategic direction for FWA services and product lines. Prior to that, Erin held the same position at Deloitte, where they played a crucial role in developing a Program Integrity practice.

Before joining Deloitte, Erin had an extensive tenure at Cotiviti, where they held various roles including Director of FWA Solutions, Manager of Investigations, Supervisor, and Senior Investigator. In these positions, they demonstrated significant expertise in SIU activities, conducted investigations, and provided guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with client contracts.

Erin also has compliance experience, having worked as a Compliance Analyst at Balyasny Asset Management L.P., where they were responsible for monitoring employee personal trading accounts and enacting annual Anti-Money Laundering audits.

In addition, Erin previously worked at Health Integrity, LLC as an Investigator, focusing on investigating allegations of fraud, waste, or abuse in the Medicare Part C and D programs. Erin conducted comprehensive reviews and analysis of healthcare claims, prescriptions, and medical record documentation.

Erin Rutzler received a B.B.A. in Finance from James Madison University from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they studied Marketing at George Mason University from 2000 to 2002. Erin also holds a General Diploma in General Studies from Point Pleasant Beach High School, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, Erin has obtained certifications including Certified in Health Care Compliance (CHC) from the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) in 2022, Certified Professional Coder (CPC) from AAPC in 2018, and has also been accredited as a Healthcare Fraud Investigator and Certified Fraud Examiner.
