Derek Clark has extensive experience in sales operations and strategy. Derek currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Sales - Operations & Strategy at Cotton Holdings Inc. Prior to this, they worked at Honeywell as the Director of Sales Operations, BMS, where they focused on translating strategic growth initiatives into actionable sales plans and quotas. Derek also maximized analytics and technology to drive insights and improve seller productivity. Before Honeywell, Derek served as the Director of Sales Operations at GE Power, leading efforts in CRM design and deployment. Derek also worked as a Sales Operations Manager and Business Development Manager, where they successfully transformed a struggling services P&L and implemented effective sales strategies. Derek began their career as a Management Trainee at Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
Derek Clark pursued their education at different institutions throughout their career. From 1999 to 2004, they attended Kansas State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree. During their time there, they studied subjects such as Marketing, Leadership Studies, and Economics.
After completing their undergraduate studies, Derek went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Rockhurst University from 2007 to 2009. Their focus of study during this time was in Business Administration and Management, with a general emphasis.
In addition to their formal education, Derek Clark has also obtained various certifications. In November 2012, they received a Green Belt certification from Lean Six Sigma. Furthermore, in April 2015, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute.
