George thrives on bringing his natural resource management and government relations experience to contemporary fisheries and ocean management issues to position Council Fire’s clients for the future. His work with government agencies, fisheries companies, and non-profit organizations brings together his decades of experience and contemporary knowledge to provide insightful and forward-looking options to natural resource issues. George works with Council Fire from Hallowell, Maine, where he’s lived for over 20 years, and now finds himself as the mayor of Maine’s smallest city.

George has over 30 years of experience in natural resource management, first working with state resource management agencies on fish and wildlife management, land conservation, and government relations. For the last decade, he has been a consultant on marine fisheries and ocean management issues for the National Marine Fisheries Service, Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council, State of New York, Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership, National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, and the Northeast Regional Ocean Council.
