Arden Burtnik

Arden Burtnik is a seasoned professional in the library and information science field, currently serving as a Senior Data Quality Specialist and Annotator at Cohere since August 2023, and as a Librarian at Toronto Public Library since October 2023. With experience as a Virtual Reference Operator for the Council of Ontario Universities since August 2021, Arden provides chat-based reference assistance, advocating for various library services and supporting students from multiple institutions. Previous roles include Information Manager at We Are Haloo, Student Library Assistant at Scholars Portal, and Graduate Student Library Assistant at the University of Toronto, where Arden developed expertise in cataloging, metadata standards, and digital collections. Arden holds a Master of Library & Information Science degree from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Alberta.
