Carmen Gomez has extensive experience in finance and accounting, currently serving as a Senior Accounting Assistant at the Council of the European Union since December 2018. Prior to this role, Carmen was a Financial Controller at the European Parliament from April 2006 to December 2018 and worked as a Financial Assistant at the European Commission from April 2008 to April 2010. Earlier in their career, Carmen served as a Subinspector of Taxes at Aeat in Spain from January 2000 to April 2006. Carmen holds a degree in Sciences Economics, Finance, and Financial Management Services from the University of Barcelone and has further education from ESADE Business & Law School.
