Dr. Shay Attias

Dr. Shay Attias is a Principal Investigator at the Council of the European Union, engaged in the EU's Erasmus Interdisciplinary Research on "Hybrid Warfare" since November 2021. Concurrently, Dr. Attias serves as a Lecturer at Hadassah Academic College and Bar-Ilan University, teaching American Politics, Diplomacy, and Media, as well as communication and political science courses. As a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for International Communication and an Associate Research Fellow at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies, Dr. Attias leads the "soft power & global standing" project. In addition, Dr. Shay Attias founded Global Diplomacy INC, a consulting firm, and previously held the position of Senior Director for Public Diplomacy at the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel from May 2009 to January 2013. Dr. Attias boasts an extensive academic background, including a PhD in Diplomatic Studies & International Communication from Bar-Ilan University and advanced studies in Public Diplomacy from USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, Harvard University, and St Antony's College, Oxford.
