Tonya Harris

Tonya Harris has over two decades of experience in communications, currently serving as the Director of Communications at the Council of the Great City Schools since March 1999, where responsibilities include strategic communication development and team management. Additionally, Tonya Harris works as a Communications Manager and Freelance Editor & Proofreader for the Delta Research and Educational Foundation, enhancing publications aimed at supporting African-American women. Prior experience includes a role as a Public Relations Assistant for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., involving writing and designing publications. Tonya Harris holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Maryland and a Master of Arts in Interactive Journalism from American University.
