Dr. Surya Vardhan Bhamidipati

Dr. Surya Vardhan Bhamidipati is a Research Analyst at the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) since August 2023, focusing on issues related to India's power sector, particularly in power system management and optimization. Previously, Dr. Bhamidipati worked as a Power System Modeller at the Society of Energy Engineers and Managers (SEEM) from September 2021 to February 2022, addressing power system restructuring, demand forecasting, scheduling, and optimization techniques using artificial intelligence. Dr. Bhamidipati holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Power System Optimization from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, completed under an MHRD fellowship in August 2023, and a Master of Technology (MTech) in Integrated Power Systems from the same institute, earned under an MHRD scholarship in 2019. Dr. Bhamidipati also obtained a degree in Electrical and Electronics from O P Jindal Institute of Technology Industrial Park in 2014 and completed high school education at Delhi Public School Bhilai and Kendriya Vidyalaya Bilaspur.
