Amaka Anku

Amaka Anku is a highly experienced professional currently serving as Director and Practice Head for Africa at Eurasia Group since December 2016, with prior experience as a Senior Analyst in the same organization. Anku is also a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations and has held positions as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University and a Professorial Lecturer at the Elliott School of International Affairs. Previous roles include Managing Director at Dilikam Advisors, Penn Kemble Forum Fellow at the National Endowment for Democracy, and Fellow at the Center for Public Policy Alternatives. Early career experience includes an International Litigation & Arbitration Associate position at Shearman & Sterling LLP and a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Legrome Davis at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Anku holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and has academic credentials from the Harvard Kennedy School, Princeton University's School of Public and International Affairs, and the University of Cape Town.
