Brian Mateo

Brian Mateo currently serves as the Deputy Director of Programs and Partnerships at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, focusing on program development and partnerships. Mateo has been involved with the Council on Foreign Relations as a Term Member since June 2020 and has held the position of Security Fellow at the Truman National Security Project since November 2019. Prior to these roles, Mateo was the Associate Dean of Civic Engagement at Bard College, overseeing global initiatives and civic engagement programs. Mateo has extensive experience in student engagement, having served in various capacities at Bard College, including Assistant Dean and Associate Director roles. Educational credentials include a Master's Degree in College Student Affairs and a Bachelor's Degree in Biobehavioral Health from Penn State University.
