Vera Ranola

Vera Ranola is the current Director of Membership at the Council on Foreign Relations. Vera has been with the organization since December of 2008, serving as the Associate Director from June 2012 to present day. In this role, Vera works on maintaining member relations and program development objectives. Vera also builds and maintains relations with the foreign diplomatic community, businesses, and other policy-focused institutions to collaborate on and co-sponsor programs. Additionally, Vera manages and directs international and domestic trips including Beijing and Shanghai, China; Silicon Valley, CA; and U.S. Southern Command, Miami, FL. Vera is also responsible for interviewing and hiring prospective employees and interns, as well as managing aspects of departmental finances.

Sara Engelhard - Program Coordinator, Alexis Tsapralis - Program Assistant, and Sydney Schultz - Program Associate report to Vera Ranola. Vera Ranola reports to Nancy D. Bodurtha, VP, Meetings and Membership. Vera Ranola works with Stacey Lafollette - Managing Director, Meetings, Morgan Singer - Special Assistant to the Vice President.
