Kayla Roberson

Kayla Roberson is an experienced professional in government affairs and communications, currently serving as an Associate in Government Affairs at the Council on Foundations since June 2024. Prior to this role, Kayla held positions as a Senior Associate and Associate at Elevate Government Affairs from August 2022 to June 2024. Kayla also worked in the Texas House of Representatives as the Director of Communications and Legislative Aide for State Representative Carl Sherman from October 2020 to April 2022, where responsibilities included drafting press releases and engaging with stakeholders on legislative issues related to Women’s Issues, Education, Healthcare, and Environmental Issues. Earlier experience includes a summer internship at Dallas College Cedar Valley Campus, assisting in the development of a Regional Master Plan, and an internship with the Texas Department of Transportation, focusing on project management. Kayla earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from The University of Texas at Austin in May 2022.
