Jonathan E. Vena is the Chief Marketing Officer at Count Basie Center for the Arts. Jonathan has previous experience as a Regional Marketing Manager at AEG Live, Promotions Director at WFNX, and VP, Marketing & Media at Concerts East Incorporated. At AEG Live, Jonathan oversaw all marketing activities related to the AEG-owned and operated Starland Ballroom as well as national and regional AEG touring properties, festivals and one-off dates. This included all matters related to the venue's post-Superstorm Sandy era, from crisis management to community relations, brand relaunch and media management. At WFNX, Jonathan was responsible for all aspects of marketing and promotion in one of the most active radio markets in North America. At Concerts East Incorporated, Jonathan was responsible for all aspects of marketing, advertising, promotion and design for what was, at the time, one of the largest independent producers of entertainment events on the East coast. Jonathan established company's online presence via site and social media, played a large part in the company's acquisition of a major entertainment venue which would go on to become of the nation's best sellers in its category. Jonathan managed 500+ events and dozens of property functions annually.

Jonathan E. Vena has a Master of Science in Journalism from Boston University and a Bachelor's in English Language and Literature from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.

They are on a team with Ann Marie Keenan - HR Director, Lysa J. Israel - Senior Director of Development, and Bobby Mack - Director, Ticketing & Venue Engagement. Their manager is Adam Philipson, CEO & President. Stefanie Moelius - Marketing Director, Andrew Musser - Creative Director, and Amy Wojtowicz - Graphic Designer report to Jonathan E. Vena.
