Joao Fernandes Soares

Joao Fernandes Soares has extensive experience in various roles related to gender equality, advocacy, project management, training, and investigation. Currently, Joao works as a Gender Equality and Inclusion Specialist & Advocacy Manager at Counterpart International. Prior to this, Joao held positions at organizations such as UNDP Timor-Leste, New Zealand Police, UNWOMEN Timor-Leste, UNFPA Timor-Leste, and others. Joao's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Catholic University of Widya Mandira Kupang, NTT-Indonesia.
