Chris Kurzeja has over 12 years of experience in software development. In 2021, they began working as Principal Developer for Countingup, where they are responsible for delivering the Countingup mobile app, various web apps and the supporting backend microservices. Additionally, they provide coaching and mentoring to engineers within the product team, contributes to technical and product delivery processes, and helps establish the career development framework for engineering and supporting technical recruitment.

From 2018 to 2021, Chris worked at Scott Logic as a Lead Developer and Senior Developer. During this time, they worked onsite with clients in team augmentation roles delivering software projects, managed and coached within Scott Logic, and participated in internal projects. From 2009 to 2017, Chris worked at FlexTrade, first as a Senior Developer in Research and Development, then as a MaxxFX Project Lead, and finally as a MaxxFX Team Lead. As Senior Developer, they worked on greenfield projects and evaluated new technologies. As Project Lead, they were responsible for building and delivering the product roadmap, identifying and prioritizing areas for technical improvement, and line managing senior members of the team. As Team Lead, they worked with a project manager to understand and deliver business requirements and managed the day to day running of the FX Java team.

In 2008, Chris completed an internship at Morgan Stanley, where they delivered a database abstraction layer in Java for an internal fixed income product and a .Net based website for guiding QA when completing daily sanity tests.

Chris Kurzeja attended Imperial College London from 2005 to 2009, where they earned an MEng ACGI in Computing.
