Emily Hughes is currently a People Manager at Countingup. Prior to that, they were an HR Manager at Kentec Electronics Ltd. from June 2017 to August 2021. At Kentec, Emily was responsible for delivering high-impact and highly effective HR services to a 230+ staffing component.
During their time at Kentec, Emily led successful transformation and modernisation of working practices, reworking policy, employee relations, reward and development that improved the visibility of HR services within the business. Emily also created a full suite of straightforward people-related policies that reduced informal and formal employee relations issues as a result.
Emily has also pitched and won increased funding for HR services, in particular, to move the first towards recognising employee performance. Through the quarterly staff recognition scheme, our highest performers are rewarded, as well as ear-marked within the succession plan. Emily has also worked extensively with benefits and salary sacrifice packages, achieving five-figure contributions uplift, and increasing pensions awareness throughout the business.
Emily Hughes has a CIPD Intermediate Diploma in Human Resource Management (Level 5) from CIPD Qualifications, an ILM Level 5 in Leadership & Management from ILM, and a BSc in Media, Communications from Loughborough University.
