Mark Tolleson

Mark Tolleson has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Starting in 1986, they worked at the Rodgers & Hammerstein Archives of Recorded Sound at the NYPL for the Performing Arts as an LTA III. Mark then joined the Music & Media Department at the Morris County Library in NJ in 1991 as the Head. From 1993 to 1997, they served as the Assistant Chief at the Rodgers & Hammerstein Archives of Recorded Sound. In 1997, Tolleson became the Assistant Director at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, a position they held until 2002. After that, they worked as an Over-the-road Driver for Swift and KLLM Trucking Companies until 2005. Tolleson then became the Branch Manager at First Regional Library in Hernando, MS from 2005 to 2006. Following that, they were a Sales Associate at InfoCurrent from 2006 to 2007 and an Associate at Pro Libra in 2008. Lastly, Tolleson worked at the County College of Morris as a Systems Librarian from 2008 to 2009 and later became the Associate Director of the Learning Resource Center, a position they still hold.

Mark Tolleson completed their Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) degree from Rutgers University from 1989 to 1991. Prior to that, they obtained a BM degree in Flute Performance from the University of Arkansas, where they studied from 1977 to 1983. Mark also pursued a degree in Library Science (MLS) from Rutgers University and a Master's in Flute Performance (MM) from Illinois State University, although the specific timeframes for these degrees are not provided.
