Maeshano Ali

Maeshano Ali's work experience includes a role as Fire and Rescue Service-Incident Command Center Chief Controller for the County Government of Mombasa since 2019. Prior to that, they served as a Member of the Management Board for the MoEST - County Education Board starting in 2016. In 2013, Maeshano worked as a Counsellor/Wellness Therapist for Self. Maeshano also held the position of Program Supervisor (Part-Time) at the Mombasa Volunteering and Resource Centre from 2010 to 2019. Additionally, Maeshano has experience as an S.S. Supervisor for the County Government of Mombasa and as a Volunteers Supervisor for the Kenya Youth Business Trust in 2015. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Selector for VSO, and in 2009, they served as an Outreach Worker for The Big Issue and a Research/Facilitator for African Initiative. Maeshano's earliest work experience was as an Assistant Program Manager for the Kenya Red Cross from 2007 to 2009.

Maeshano Ali's education history includes obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Counseling Psychology from The University of Manchester, from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, in 2009, they received a Certificate in Incident Command System from Kenya Red Cross. In 2007 to 2008, they pursued a Higher National Diploma in Counselling Studies at Kenya Association of Profesional Counsellors. Before that, from 2004 to 2006, Maeshano studied Community Development and Counselling at Mombasa Polytechnic University College, focusing on Social Work, Entrepreneurship, Governance, Project Management, and Counselling. Maeshano began their academic journey at Aga Khan Academy Mombasa, where they obtained a General Certificate of Secondary Education in Arts and Humanities from 1999 to 2004.

Additionally, Maeshano Ali has obtained a Postgraduate Diploma from the University of Manchester in August 2013.
