Luis Ramirez

Luis Ramirez is an accomplished architect with extensive experience in various leadership roles in public works and community development. Currently serving as Deputy Director at the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works since March 2024, Ramirez focuses on public contracting, design, and asset management. Previous roles include Deputy Director of Community Development for the City of Long Beach and a two-decade tenure at the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works, where positions ranged from Architectural Assistant to Assistant Deputy Director. Luis also held leadership roles at CAPLAR Designs and contributed to projects at Osborn Architects and Studio3 Architects during the early career. Ramirez holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
