Carter Hewgley is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public administration and analytics. Currently serving as Senior Director for the CEO-Homeless Initiative at the County of Los Angeles since March 2023, Carter has also been a Professor of Applied Analytics at Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs since September 2016. Prior roles include Director of Homeless Initiatives at United Way of Greater Los Angeles, Senior Advisor for the Department of Human Services in the Government of the District of Columbia, and Director of Analytics & Performance at the Bloomberg Center for Government Excellence. Additionally, Carter directed FEMA's Enterprise Analytics Division and held various leadership positions within the District of Columbia Public Schools and DC Government, focusing on strategic initiatives and performance management. Carter holds a Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University's Maxwell School and dual Bachelor's degrees in Economics and Public Administration from Miami University.
