Sunitha Menon

Sunitha Menon is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and program management within various organizations. Currently serving as the Executive Director of the LGBTQ+ Commission for the County of Los Angeles since June 2024, Sunitha previously worked as the Managing Director of Operations at Equality California, where responsibilities included strategic planning and organizational alignment. From December 2013 to March 2022, Sunitha was the Chief of Consulting Services Operations at RAINN, focusing on transparent and inclusive leadership while overseeing operational management. Sunitha's earlier experience includes program management at Link2Health Solutions, where a 24/7 Crisis Text Line program was developed, and a directorial role at East Side House Settlement, managing compliance and child welfare training. Additionally, Sunitha served as a guest lecturer at Columbia University's School of Social Work. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
