Chris Kopp

Chris Kopp currently serves as the Deputy Director of Human Resources for Manatee County Government, overseeing HR services and operations while aligning initiatives with the County's strategic goals. As a Co-Owner of Lockdown International since 2016, Chris specializes in safety training and security consulting, and is the inventor of the Barricade Box, a temporary door barricade device. Previous roles include Code Enforcement Officer for the Town of Longboat Key, Public Information Officer for the Fraternal Order of Police, and Police Sergeant at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Chris's law enforcement experience encompasses positions as a Deputy Sheriff and Police Officer, along with military service as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. Chris holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia Southern University.
