San Diego Public Defender
Said Shaba currently serves as a Certified Legal Intern at the San Diego Public Defender since September 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Law Clerk at Fox Law, APC, and Judicial Extern positions with the Honorable Jill L. Burkhardt and the Honorable John A. Houston at the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. Additional legal experience includes a Summer Law Clerk role at Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin PC and a Legal Assistant at Wingert Grebing Brubaker & Juskie, LLP. Prior to legal positions, Said Shaba managed the Scholarship Program at Pro Kids | The First Tee of San Diego, supported tax preparation for low-income residents as a Volunteer Income Tax Preparer, and interned at Qualcomm in the Business Development Department. Said Shaba holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from the University of San Diego School of Law and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley.
