Andrew Strong

Andrew Strong is a seasoned public administrator currently serving as the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer and General Manager of the Public Safety Group for the County of San Diego, a position held since June 2008. In this role, Andrew oversees the Office of Equity and Racial Justice, engaging underserved communities in budget-making processes and promoting racial equity and social justice. Andrew's experience includes roles such as Chief of Staff in the Chief Administrative Office, Chief of Support Services, and a Human Resources Analyst. Additionally, Andrew has contributed to the City of Chula Vista as a Commissioner on the Growth Management Oversight Commission and has an extensive background in military service as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy. Andrew holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from National University and a Bachelor's degree in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
