Elizabeth Ortiz

Elizabeth Ortiz, D-ABMDI, has extensive experience in the field of forensic science, currently serving as the Supervising Deputy Coroner at the San Mateo County Office of the Coroner since April 2012. Elizabeth has held various positions within the office, including Chief Deputy Coroner (working out of class) and Deputy Coroner, alongside previous roles as a Forensic Autopsy Technician and Academic Intern. Additionally, Elizabeth contributed as a Coach at Push Ups 2 Pin Ups Transformation Center from March 2017 to January 2020 and worked as an Assistant to the Fiscal Manager at Division of Continuing and International Education from January 2009 to April 2013. Elizabeth also gained leadership experience as an Academic Senator and Orientation Team Leader at California State University, East Bay, where a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science with a Forensic Option was obtained from 2008 to 2012.
