Lisa Yapching

Lisa Yapching has extensive experience in human resources management, currently serving as the HR Division Manager for Compensation and Talent Strategies at the County of San Mateo since November 2007. In this role, Lisa leads the classification and compensation unit, developing and implementing comprehensive policies while collaborating with various stakeholders to conduct studies and prepare analytical reports. Prior positions include Acting Deputy Director of HR and Personnel Services Manager, where responsibilities involved overseeing compensation philosophies, managing classification studies, and supervising a team of analysts. Lisa began her career at the County of San Mateo in 2000 as a Personnel Analyst, focusing on recruitment, employee relations, and training. Lisa holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Development from Villanova University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of San Carlos.
