Tanya Sabedra Beat

Tanya Sabedra Beat is an experienced leader in women's empowerment and diversity initiatives, currently serving as the Director for the Commission on the Status of Women and the LGBTQ Commission at the County of San Mateo since September 2017. In addition to this role, Tanya operates Tanya Beat Coaching, focusing on personal development for first-generation women professionals navigating career transitions. With a background in program management at organizations such as SACNAS and About-Face, Tanya has dedicated over two decades to supporting under-represented communities, particularly women and girls, in achieving their potential through various educational and leadership programs. Tanya holds a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach designation and has a strong academic foundation with degrees in Anthropology and History, along with a teaching certification.
