Paul Kunkel

Paul Kunkel serves as a Special Projects Liaison for the County of San Mateo, focusing on strategies to assist the homeless population in securing permanent housing. Paul is also a Co-Founder of Last Line Solutions, a startup dedicated to developing autonomous wildfire defense systems. Additionally, Paul works as a Consultant for Health Management Associates, specializing in corrections management and Medication Assisted Treatment for individuals with addiction issues. Previously, Paul held various leadership roles within the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, including Executive Correctional Consultant and Sheriff's Captain. With extensive experience in law enforcement and public service, Paul has contributed to numerous initiatives aimed at improving community safety and support. Paul holds a Master of Arts in Management with a focus on Organizational Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society.
