Jamie Compton

Jamie Compton has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Jamie most recently worked as the Assistant Vice President and Communications Director at Countybank, where they were responsible for leading marketing and communications functions. Prior to that, they served as the Communications Manager at American Tire Distributors, where they managed corporate communications. Jamie also held the position of Senior Director of Communications at Child Care Aware of America, where they developed and implemented marketing and communications strategies. Jamie has a background in marketing as well, having worked as the Director of Marketing Communications at Alertus Technologies. Jamie started their career at the CFA Institute, where they held various roles including Communications Specialist and Assistant Editor of CFA Magazine. Jamie also gained editorial experience as an Editorial Assistant at GulfStream Communications and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. Jamie's work experience is rounded out by their role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of South Carolina.

Jamie Compton has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in Psychology from Rhodes College. They also hold a Master of Mass Communications degree from the University of South Carolina. In 2012, they obtained a Graphic Design Professional Certification from Sessions College. Currently, Jamie is pursuing further education at the South Carolina Bankers School at Lander University, with an expected duration from 2022 to 2024.
