Gareth Redmond is currently serving as a High Court Registrar and Higher Executive Officer at the Courts Service since September 2022, where responsibilities include managing the Judgments Section to ensure timely and accurate processing of civil judgments. Previously, Gareth held various roles including Executive Officer with An Garda Síochána, focusing on governance, accountability, and managing domestic abuse and missing persons units. Gareth also served as a Poll Clerk for the Electoral Commission, an Enumerator for the Central Statistics Office during the Census 2022, and has experience in clerical and banking positions at the Office of the Attorney General, Deutsche Bank, Computershare, and HSBC. Gareth holds a Diploma in Business Administration and Management from the Institute of Public Administration and is currently pursuing dual diplomas in Law from the same institution.

The Courts Service was established as an independent corporate organisation on 9th November, 1999 following the enactment of the Courts Service Act, 1998. We employ around 1,000 staff in 40 locations nationwide. Our functions are: -to manage the courts -to provide support services for the judges -to provide information on the courts system to the public -to provide, manage and maintain court buildings -to provide facilities for users of the courts.
