Qiujie Zhao

Qiujie Zhao, PhD, currently serves as a Member of Technical Staff at Covalent Metrology, starting in February 2024. Prior to this role, Zhao was a Senior Scientist at Capacitor Sciences, Inc. from October 2021 to February 2024. Zhao completed a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where involvement as a Graduate Research Assistant spanned from August 2016 to August 2021 under the guidance of Prof. Christopher M. Additional experience includes a Post Graduate internship at Shell in mid-2020, conducting literature reviews on ionic liquids for lubricants and presenting findings to senior management, and various undergraduate research assistant positions at the University of Illinois, alongside an Organic Synthesis internship at Acme Biopharma Co., Ltd. in 2014. An undergraduate degree in Materials Science and Engineering was also obtained from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completing studies in 2016.
