Ishit Shah

Ishit Shah has extensive work experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. Ishit most recently worked at Covariant starting in 2022. Prior to that, they held the same position at DoorDash from 2021 to 2022, where they were responsible for designing and developing a robotic motion system and other subsystems for a next-generation food robot. Ishit also worked at Ono Food Co. in 2021, where they designed various subsystems for a back-of-the-house food robot. From 2016 to 2021, Ishit served as the Lead Mechanical Design Engineer at Discovery Robotics, overseeing the development of the mechanical framework for a cleaning robot. In 2015, they were a Mechanical Design Engineer at CMU Hyperloop, where they designed the braking and stability system for a Hyperloop pod. Additionally, Ishit worked at Orion Racing India from 2012 to 2015 as a Designer and Drivetrain Head, leading the design team for a formula-style race car and assisting with marketing efforts. Ishit started their career with a summer internship at Minerva Engineering Tools Co. in 2014, where they were part of a team responsible for CAD modeling and CNC programming.

Ishit Shah's education history includes a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, which was obtained between 2015 and 2016. They also pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering from K.J Somaiyya College of Engineering from 2011 to 2015.
