Laura Underwood

Laura Underwood is an experienced educator and former intelligence professional with a strong background in social studies instruction and counterterrorism analysis. Currently serving as a Social Studies Teacher at Covenant Christian Academy since May 2019, Laura Underwood has demonstrated exceptional ability in developing engaging lessons that integrate historical themes with current events. Prior to this role, Laura Underwood worked as a Counterterrorism Analyst for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and as an Intelligence Officer and Security Manager for the U.S. Navy, where responsibilities included providing analytical intelligence products and supporting combat operations. Additionally, Laura Underwood has held various managerial positions at ORA Inc, overseeing procurement and human resources. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in U.S. History/Applied History from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts in History/Secondary Education from Grove City College.
