Jon Derbyshire

Jon Derbyshire has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Jon started their career as a Service Delivery Lead at The AA in 2003. Jon then worked as an Account Manager at The Timken Company in 2005, where they managed a portfolio of SME accounts. Jon joined the NHS in 2006 as a Business Analyst, where they played a key role in facilitating the migration of NHS Payroll and Legacy Systems to Oracle HRMS. Jon then worked at Dunelm (Soft Furnishings) Ltd from 2007 to 2015, holding various roles including Business Analyst and Replenishment Analyst. At Dunelm, Jon successfully delivered multiple systems and process improvement projects. In 2015, Jon joined Ideagen PLC as a Business Analyst, providing agile business analysis for clinical software offerings. Jon then moved to Next Retail Ltd in 2016 where they worked as a Business Analyst (Agile), leading the 'Collect Today' project and providing agile business analysis activities. Currently, Jon works at Coventry Building Society as a Senior Business Analyst and Lead Business Analyst, starting in 2018.

Jon Derbyshire obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Business Information Systems from Sheffield Hallam University, where they studied from 2001 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed their A Levels at The West Coventry Sixth Form from 1999 to 2001. In addition to their formal education, Jon has obtained several certifications, including Certified Business Architect from the Business Architecture Guild in 2023, Certified SAFe® 5.1 Product Owner/Product Manager from Scaled Agile, Inc. in 2022, Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc. in 2021, and Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) from IIBA in 2019.
