Asanka Dewage

Asanka Dewage has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles.

Starting in 2000, Asanka began their career as a Staff Assistant at Sampath Bank. They then transitioned to roles in web development and tech leadership at Visiontech Digital Media, where they worked from 2006 to 2010.

In 2014, Asanka joined CarsGuide as a Project Lead, leading a team to deliver a rebrand of the UI/UX for the "Sell My Car" experience. They then moved on to The Dots Global, where they served as a Development Team Lead, providing technical consultation and support for establishing the platform in the UK region.

From 2010 to 2019, Asanka worked at The Loop, taking on various roles including Lead Developer, Development Team Lead, Head of Global Development, and Head of Technology. In these roles, they managed technical strategy and vision, led development operations, expanded the development team, and oversaw IT infrastructure and platform stability.

In 2019, Asanka joined Prezzee as Head of Backend Services, responsible for managing the backend development team and ensuring high-quality results. They later transitioned to the role of Technical Lead before leaving in 2021.

Following their time at Prezzee, Asanka worked at Finder as an Engineering Lead, leading the technical team and delivering product features aligned with organizational goals.

In 2022, Asanka joined Nano Digital Home Loans as a Senior Software Engineer before moving on to their current position as a Senior Software Engineer at Cover Genius since 2023.

Overall, Asanka Dewage has gained extensive experience in software engineering, technical leadership, and team management throughout their career.

Asanka Dewage completed high school at Ananda College from 1991 to 1999, with a focus on mathematics. Later, from 2003 to 2007, they attended Western Sydney University, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business, majoring in E-Business, with a field of study in E-Commerce/Electronic Commerce.
