Wilson Ong

Wilson Ong is an experienced procurement and commercial management professional with a strong focus on IT and technology. Currently serving as the Head of IT Procurement & Commercial Management at Cover-More Group since April 2020, Wilson leads the global IT procurement function, aligning it with business strategies while managing supplier relationships and financial budgets. Prior experience includes roles at Origin Energy as Category Lead (IT), where Wilson negotiated key commercial deals and managed significant divestment programs, and at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, where Wilson led sourcing negotiations for high-profile technology projects. Additional experience encompasses positions at ASIC as Senior Procurement Manager and the Department of Transport, Energy and Infrastructure as Procurement Officer. Wilson holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Adelaide.
