Erica Wood, M.S., CNTC has over 17 years of work experience. Erica is currently serving as the Chief People Officer at Cover Whale, where they focus on elevating HR decision science and implementing evidence-based thinking to impact and redefine culture and leadership. Their role also involves attracting and engaging a diverse, multigenerational workforce with a shared mission and sense of belonging. Erica embraces perpetual work reinvention and prioritizes the health and well-being of employees.

Prior to their current position, Erica worked at Insperity for eight years as a Performance Consultant, primarily focusing on small- to medium-sized businesses. Their key areas of impact included strategic organizational development, company branding, strategic business planning, organizational and culture development, change management, succession planning, and leadership coaching.

Before Insperity, Erica worked as a Consultant at Insigniam, where they consulted with large, complex organizations to generate breakthroughs in management results, such as top-line growth, strategy implementation, profitability improvement, and culture change. Insigniam's innovation consulting helped clients identify new strategic frontiers, foster creativity, and execute growth opportunities.

Earlier in their career, Erica was a Learning and Organizational Development Trainer at Integra LifeSciences. In this role, they collaborated with key leaders to determine learning objectives, designed and executed learning programs, and implemented competency modeling in partnership with senior leadership.

Erica's first role was as a Marketing Project Manager/Account Manager at Insigniam Performance. Erica managed brand consistency, executed marketing projects and website launches, and directed large CEO Executive Summits.

Throughout their career, Erica Wood has demonstrated a strong focus on organizational development, leadership coaching, and fostering innovation to drive growth and improve performance.

Erica Wood, M.S., CNTC has a diverse education history in the field of human resources, organizational psychology, coaching, leadership, and neuroscience.

Erica earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology & Business Administration from Temple University in 2004. Erica then went on to obtain a Master's of Science degree in Human Resource Development with a concentration in Organizational Psychology from Villanova University, graduating in 2010.

In 2013, Erica completed the Dale Carnegie Course™, acquiring skills in leadership and effective communication. Erica also received certifications as a Dale Carnegie Course™ Graduate and an Extended DISC Certified Leadership Facilitator during the same year.

In 2014, Erica pursued coaching certification in neuroscience and transformational leadership from BEabove Leadership | The Neuroscience of Transformation. Erica further expanded their expertise by obtaining the Six Boxes® Practitioner certification, which encompassed business improvement methodology, strategic planning, process improvement, and systematic training design.

Erica's commitment to continuous learning led their to complete a Brain-Based Leader Certificate in Performance & Leadership focused on neuroscience and leadership at The Academy of Brain-Based Leadership in 2018. Continuing their exploration of neuroscience and leadership, they attended the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management in 2019, where they completed the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute (SIYLI) program, which covered emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and the neuroscience of leadership and motivation.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Erica has earned several certifications. These include being a DDI Certified Facilitator from DDI | Development Dimensions International (obtained in December 2013), a Certified Azul Embodiment Facilitator from Path of Azul (obtained in April 2018), and a Foundations of Facilitation Certification from Authentic Revolution (obtained in March 2021).

Lastly, Erica obtained a Business Impact Leadership (BIL) Facilitator certification from Development Dimension International in June 2021.
