Tony Beirne has a diverse work experience in the insurance and actuarial field. Tony is currently working as the Chief Data Officer & Actuary at Cover Whale since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at QualRisk as an Advisor from September 2021 onwards. Tony also held the role of Chief Product Officer & Actuary at VoyageWorks from September 2021 to February 2023. Tony Beirne earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Economics from Boston College from 1998 to 2002, graduating cum laude. Tony then pursued further education and received a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from NYU Stern School of Business from 2012 to 2015, focusing on Marketing, Technology & Operations, and Global Business. Tony also participated in executive education at the National University of Singapore in 2014, studying Southeast Asian Business. Prior to their college years, Tony attended Lake Forest High School from 1996 to 1998 and Phillips Academy, Andover from 1994 to 1996. Tony has obtained various certifications throughout their career, such as Learning Bitcoin and Other Cryptocurrencies and Cryptocurrency Foundations from LinkedIn in 2021, as well as certifications related to artificial intelligence, data dashboards, and Power BI from LinkedIn in 2021. Additionally, they earned the Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society designation from the Casualty Actuarial Society and became a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries in 2007. In 2010, they obtained the Fellow of the Actuaries Institute of Australia qualification from the Actuaries Institute Australia.
