David Gagnier

VP, Operations at Cover

David Gagnier is currently the VP of Operations at Cover. Prior to this, they were the Director of Sales at Metromile from January 2015 to January 2017, and before that, they were the Director of Sales Training at Goji from May 2010 to September 2014. In their role as Director of Sales at Metromile, David was responsible for building the sales organization from the ground up, including hiring and recruiting multiple levels of management and an entire sales team over two locations, opening a satellite location, developing sales operations, building and delivering company forecasts, building and implementing KPI's and corporate selling strategies, and delivering weekly and monthly reports to C levels. David also was responsible for business development. In their role as Director of Sales Training at Goji, David was responsible for the strategic management of the sales training function, which included all processes from recruiting and onboarding to training 400+ sales reps in two locations. David also aligned efforts with other department heads to ensure all sales targets were met, hired and trained all trainers, developed and maintained relationships with all third party business partners, delivered status reports and business proposals to senior management (C levels and VP’s), interfaced with partners on a regular basis through carrier dinners and monthly conference calls, tracked trainer performance and calculated monthly performance bonuses, oversaw the onboarding and licensing process, and developed business processes to improve sales results. David has a proven track record in sales and management, with a focus on building successful teams and developing strategies that deliver results.

David Gagnier received their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

They are on a team with Brandon Lo - Director, Finance, Cliff White - VP, Engineering. David Gagnier reports to Karn Saroya, CEO.
