Dr. Raul Pires

Dr. Raul Pires is a seasoned executive in the chemical industry, currently serving as the VP Head of Global R&D Isocyanates at Covestro since December 2014, where responsibilities include leading a team of over 45 researchers to innovate in isocyanates and polyurethane systems. Pires has held multiple leadership positions within Covestro, focusing on new technologies and key account management in coatings and adhesives. Prior experience includes significant roles at Bayer, where Pires led marketing and product development initiatives for coatings and nanoproducts, built global marketing strategies, and managed large teams to drive business growth in EMEA and Asia Pacific. Pires holds a degree in Organic Chemistry from the Technical University of Munich.
