Martin Bak

Martin Bak has extensive work experience in legal and compliance roles. Martin currently works at Covestro as a Legal Counsel SK & Head of LIPC Operations, starting in September 2023. Prior to that, they worked at The HEINEKEN Company, starting in August 2008. At HEINEKEN, they held various positions including Legal & Compliance Manager SK from June 2019 to June 2023, and Head of Legal Department SK from August 2008 to May 2019. Before that, they worked at DLA PIPER Weiss-Tessbach as an Associate from October 2005 to July 2008, and at Linklaters as a Junior Associate from August 2003 to September 2005.

Martin Bak obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Law & Languages from Utrecht University in the period from 1998 to 2001. Martin then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Arts degree in EU and International Law from Utrecht University between 2001 and 2003. Following this, Martin attended Univerzita Komenského v Bratislave from 2003 to 2004, where they earned a Master of Law degree in Slovak Law (Equalisation Exam).
